Inside plant-based eating with Kathy Davis

Next to understanding our inner worlds, food is my second favourite topic and I loved hearing from plant-based lifestyle coach and recipe developer Kathy Davis, about how to balance our hormones with plant-based food. Kathy is the CEO of VegInspired.com and the author of three cookbooks.  She also helps people successfully transition to a plant-based way of eating that supports a fast-paced lifestyle, without requiring hours in the kitchen or added stress. We talked about:

  • Positive language around food
  • The messages we receive about our bodies as teenagers
  • How to be a good role model for our kids
  • How Kathy naturally moved towards a plant-based diet
  • The health benefits Kathy found from eating whole, fresh foods
  • How Kathy changed the pain she experienced in her menstrual cycle
  • Plant-based foods to eat for hormone balance
  • How to get more protein into a plant-based diet
  • All about soy and what kind to eat
  • Why broccoli will save the world
  • And a very bizarre thing to do with a turkey
