Biodynamic stories – a celebration of Gerda Boyesen

This episode celebrates the centenary of Gerda Boyesen’s birth in 1922. Gerda was the founder of Biodynamic Psychology, an energy-based psychotherapeutic practice that includes touch, spirituality and great humanity, which has influenced most of the body-orientated psychotherapeutic and complementary health modalities that have arisen since the 70’s. Unless you were in a training you probably won’t know much about her work because as a woman, working with the body and energy, she was dismissed out of sheer misogyny while her contemporaries became more prominent.

This episode features a number of people who trained in Biodynamic methods across many decades, who share how Biodynamic methods have deeply touched their lives and the communities around them. You will hear that Gerda’s work is much bigger than a contract behind a therapy room door,  that her generosity, trust and engagement with the flow of life has pervaded the world.

I would love for this tapestry of Biodynamic voices celebrating Gerda, to be heard far and wide. Please share it with friends, clients, colleagues and social media. If you would like help to embed this episode on your website, please get in touch on kate.codrington@gmail.com
