A nourishing day retreat to dream into the possibilities of postmenopausal life
If you are interested in attending this retreat day in spring 2026 you can register your interest here
Come and lean into a community of like-minded postmenopausal folk who, now that menopause is more or less navigated, are wondering how the hell to do the next bit, Second Spring.
When we come out of menopause blinking into the light and on the brink of a new kind of unknown, it’s hard to relate to the images of 50-something celebrities in bikinis, let alone being a crone or hag already. And 'Wise Woman'?? You have to be kidding! But by acknowledging our journey, and leaning into a community who get it, we can write a new story for ourselves.
You are invited to come together, share experiences of menopause, of where we’ve been, what we've learned and look forwards into the future, following the breadcrumbs towards the Second Spring and Second Summer of our 60’s and explore the possibilities for creativity, connectedness, vitality and joy.
You are invited to bring your tenderness, your triumphs and your tiredness to explore your next chapter with an intimate group of like-minded folk.
You don’t have to do this alone
The powerful Medicine Circle process with give you incredible access to your intuition and knowing, and because it’s an energy practice, it will also effortlessly balance the ecology of your life seasons, without you having to do anything else. You'll leave with confidence that you can find your path, even when things are looking wonky, and have fun doing it.

Who is this for?
This day will be for you if you’re towards the end of your menopause process or feeling the Spring breezes of postmenopause, feeling a little vulnerable and looking for a new way of being in yourself. If you regard yourself as a sensitive, curious person who is centred around personal growth and wonder:
- How this Spring stuff can manifest when I still have menopause symptoms?
- How to connect with the preciousness of life and a to-do list
- If you long to have your epic journey of menopause acknowledged
- Are committing to your values in a world that demands compromise
- Observe your struggle to own both your vulnerability and your strengths
- Want to find your own way of living in an ageing body
You are probably a good fit.
It's rare for circles to be held for postmenopause folk: circles for menstruators, for women, for perimenopause, for all kinds of things but never for postmenopause. A safe space for those of us who navigated perimenopause as awake as we could manage, and now long for like-minded community and connection.
Here's some feedback from previous retreats:
I really appreciated the way you held the space - I felt all the women in the room, including me, could share their vulnerable selves. It meant that everyone spoke so much truth. It was both healing and inspiring to witness it.

Thank you so much for the beautiful day on Sunday, there was so much rich learning in a beautiful setting. I found the whole experience of learning about moving through this very validating, not just for perimenopause but also symptoms associated with chronic fatigue. I really felt I was able to show up as I am, and because of this I was able to connect easily and share with others. I came away with a real sense of empowerment after a tough week, so thank you!

The Second Spring retreat day was a beautiful, gentle, powerful space away from my world in which to be with a lovely group of women and be held by Kate's wise, authentic, sensitive care. Having my menopause journey witnessed and affirmed by other women was profound. I gained deeper insight, and came away armed with hope and resourced with new energy - both of which have felt in short supply in recent years. It was fun, moving, restful, practical and magical! Thank you Kate for your beautiful way of being and working.

Inspirational workshop led by Kate. It's made so much more aware of my postmenopausal lunar cycle and the gifts it brings. It was an honour to sit in circle with other menopausal women and witness their experiences of this life transition. It's also fired me up to offer this kind of work in the future.

My angle
All my offerings come from the understanding that you are not broken and don’t need fixing, and that given a safe-enough environment you can readily access your own wisdom or intuition. I take great care to set up a clear container with my personal practices along with guidelines and agreements with the group. I am always responsive to serving the energy and needs of the group and encourage everyone to take responsibility for their process, as far as possible. The day is limited to 15 people to create intimacy and spaciousness.
More praise for Second Spring Circle Retreat
Joining one of Kate’s workshops is like giving myself an indulgent treat . I never care about the agenda as I just trust that the day will be a nourishing , safe and inclusive experience and she gives permission for just doing things your own way with lots of different ideas and suggestions , including doing nothing at all if that’s what you need at any time . Pure escapism from the demands of everyday life .
Catherine, Second Springer
So much time, energy, angst and heartbreak made up the 15 years of my perimenopause, that to be 'on the other side' really is cause for celebration, and the opening was recognition of this. Kate's gentle holding gave permission to recognise the journey and the tools / resources that are so often overlooked when in the midst of it all. Thank you
