Not your average menopause weekend, with Kate Codrington
10am - 5pm 5th - 6th July 2025
West London Buddhist Centre, London W2
A nourishing weekend exploring and releasing the difficult symptoms of perimenopause and moving to receive the gifts of menopause in a deep, beautifully held (and real) women’s circle.
Right now, you may be...
- Struggling with difficult mental, emotional and physical symptoms
- Experiencing rage, grief and other huge emotions that no one (inc you) understands
- Feeling so damn tired (and tired of being tired)
- Feeling misunderstood and deep in the messiness and confusion
You don’t have to do it alone, come and join us.
The weekend felt nurturing, safe and grounding with many layers of meaning which continue to unfold within me after the event. The weekend had a spiritual or sacred aspect to it, it felt like long-held layers were being peeled away in a very subtle and gentle way. I feel that I’ve learnt some tools and practices to help navigate trickiness in life but I’ve also connected with a more steady and resilient part of myself.

What if perimenopause was a call to love? A midlife hormonal rearrangement intending to facilitate our connection to ourselves, to our bodies and to spirit?
If this were the case, then how would you treat yourself through midlife? Not as a malfunctioning embarrassment that has lost its worth. Not as needing to be fixed or in need of a make-over to regain confidence.
If perimenopause was a call to love we would gather in community in held places, open our hearts and welcome our grief and rage, and nourish ourselves with validation, kindness and yummy food. We would encounter our demons with curiosity and healthy boundaries, we would take sacred journeys together to explore the heart of Surrender, and listen deeply to the whispered messages of our souls.
On this weekend you will
- Get a deep understanding of the meaning your symptoms are holding
- Deepen your self-acceptance and love for yourself
- Develop more curiosity and acceptance of your challenges
- Develop your toolkit of practices to connect and listen to your body
- Feel more purpose and confidence as you navigate the unknown
- Re-integrate lost parts of yourself
- At the very least, crack the window for forgiveness, more likely, remember you are absolutely perfect just as you are
Which will all reduce inflammation in the body and reduce mental and physical suffering!

"I found the weekend transformative. it’s the third unwrapping of myself that we’ve had together, and something mega happened inside me. When I talk about the weekend to my close friends I describe a psychedelic-like experience: I had such grief and I emerged changed. I understand myself better. I’ve made changes based on that information, been feeling different in myself, as I’m practicing integrating new self-awareness, laying down some new boundaries, and it’s helping."

“I am raving about the experience amongst my circle of friends as I believe they all should hang out with you learning and embodying kindness. It was a beautiful experience that left me feeling nurtured, held and save. Somehow also with a knowing that I am ok exactly where I am. I have felt very OK within my body since. Long may it last.”

Join Kate 5th-6th July at West London Buddhist Centre to replenish your belief in yourself, and that perimenopause has meaning and is asking you to love yourself and the earth. Perimenopause does not happen only in our heads, it is a somatic, felt experience and the weekend will draw on practices from the seasonal map and psychological phases of menopause, Gestalt therapy, body psychotherapy, circle work and yoga nidra. There is an emphasis on spaciousness and there will be ample time for sharing and integration.
This two-day non-residential retreat has been designed for you to deepen your process through the psychological phases of menopause and gather the threads of your postmenopausal calling.
Saturday – The Symptoms Keep the Score
An exploration of the relationship we have with our symptoms, and what meaning they might be offering to us.
Sunday – The Soul Keeps the Score
We journey into the quiet surrendered places of perimenopause to access the unique spiritual gifts available and allow ourselves to receive.
The weekend is limited to 20 people to create intimacy and spaciousness.
“I attended a retreat day with Kate and experienced her expert (and joyful) holding and facilitating. I left feeling more accepting of myself and my messy experiences, and more nourished. I have since noticed it has helped me move forward through my menopause journey with more awareness and gentleness. I can’t wait for her next event.”
