Gilly we met on a wild and windswept hill fort and you have never been a fair weather friend. The storms of life have been nothing with you on my side.
You are one huge heart to me:

I was absolutely thrilled and delighted to receive my magical garment, lovingly stitched by Kate and with moving and heartfelt words from my friend. Hearing about the threads of friendship project really touched me. What a beautiful vision for weaving our lives together, friend by friend. I use my garment for ceremonies and for blessings or clearing and smudging my house. Putting it on reminds me not just of my dear friend but of the bond of love and solidarity between all women. I was daunted by choosing a garment and writing words for the continuation of the project but talking to Kate about my chosen friend brought the whole process to life. My friend had just lost her beloved dog in the river and was feeling heartbroken. Kate’s embroidery of Sparky the dog onto my friends garment gave extra meaning and captured the spirit of my friends amazing relationship with animals, trees and the natural world. So much gratitude for being part of this humbling and inspiring project!
