We're ending the month in style with Pure Pleasure, not something we usually associate with menopause, but in fact it makes excellent medicine.
Prompts for pleasure
Write a list of your top ten pleasures. Bloody yum!
Next, grab your journal for some free writing, just let your pen flow across the paper and if you get stuck, just write 'I’m stuck' or re-write the prompt. Set your timer for 3 minutes for each prompt.
- My family taught me that pleasure was…
- I can’t give myself pleasure because then….
Focus for the week
Your focus this week is to see how much pleasure you can have in one week, try to commit to something every day.
At the end of the week jot down a list of all the pleasures you've created and reflect on what got in the way, what suits you and what didn't work so well. You could also think about how to weave more regular pleasure into your life. Please be super kind to yourself and bring in your own best friend if she’s needed.
Bonus
You might enjoy this Yoga Nidra inviting pleasure to naturally arise
Celebrate yourself!
Congratulations on your month of sweetness to yourself!
Your final invitation is to go back and look at the list of challenges you compiled at the beginning of the month, and point by point, note down how those symptoms have changed. You might want to also look at your weekly reviews to catch the gold and remember some of what you’ve discovered. I strongly suspect your symptoms will have improved, but, even more importantly, your attitude towards yourself will have transformed and you will find yourself more loving and tender with yourself.
I’d love to hear about your adventures, it would be so helpful if you could leave some feedback and let me know how you got on here.
