The next group will be a Practitioners Circle starting September 2026
Riding the ups and downs of life as a wellbeing professional can be a lonely business, with the pressures of holding boundaries, finding the right clients to work with, while staying in integrity and earning a living, it can be surprisingly tough.
Being in a trusted group of professional colleagues for mentoring is a wonderful way to support yourself in your practice and develop more confidence, grounding and inspiration to offer the best possible service to your clients.
This professional group mentoring is suitable for coaches, therapists, bodyworkers, yoga teachers and other wellbeing practitioners, it is a closed, small group meeting regularly over five months.
You can get support for your work with clients and groups, and deepen your understanding and confidence in working with the seasons and phases for menstruation and menopause.
The group is a dynamic, co-created space where you can be witnessed in your challenges, celebrate yourself and welcome your emergent growth process. You can bring client cases, ask for feedback, lean into the group wisdom for support, and develop deeper awareness and care for your cyclical nature. Creating a ‘safe-enough space is paramount, where we can bring the messy challenges we face, and by tracking our responses somatically, face the difficulties with curiosity and kindness, and move towards a more expansive and sustainable way of working

What we cover
The mentoring group is driven by your needs and emergent process, however these are the topics that tend to arise regularly:
- Working whilst navigating menopause

- Professional self-care
- Accepting our own messiness and imperfection
- Getting feedback on your content

No, this is a closed group.
Because of the sensitive nature of our sessions, they will not be recorded.
This group mentoring is open to cis women, non-binary and gender non-conforming people. If you are not comfortable sharing with folk from these communities, then other women-only circles are available. Hate speak and gender intolerance is not tolerated in the group mentoring.
I am committed to holding a ‘safe as possible’ space this means that hate speak and gender intolerance is not tolerated in the group mentoring.
I take great care to create a safe container with clear guidelines for the group. My task is to hold the group process and to name the different dynamics as they arise. This creates safety and awareness for all concerned. Occasionally people feel unsafe and hurt in my spaces, when this happens I do everything I can manage to meet the difficulty and resolve it, if possible.
Our most vulnerable and challenging edges can show up in our work and this requires a safe container, to keep us safe enough, our guidelines are:
- Confidentiality
- Kindness to self and others
- Accepting diversity and difference
- Not giving advice unless it is asked for
- Giving space for and curiosity toward your body wisdom, inner voices and other ways your intuition speaks to you
- Where possible, when you are sharing, I encourage you to ask for what you might need. It could be that you prefer to be witnessed, are looking for feedback, reflections, process work or ‘teaching ’-style interventions. Not knowing, and/or changing your mind is also OK!
Who is it for
I welcome coaches, therapists, bodyworkers, yoga teachers and other wellbeing practitioners, neurodiverse and neurotypical, who are looking for a safe harbour for their work. Whether you’ve had many years of experience or are just starting out, you still need inspiration, gentleness, encouragement and affirmation for your work. You will be invited to bring your kindness to yourself and to others, your curiosity to what is emerging, and to co-design structures that take responsibility for your needs.

Introducing your mentor
All my vulnerability and patterns show up in running my business and they can be even more tender than those in my personal life! I cannot do my work alone, so I have many circles of support in place for my professional life. This includes Listening Partnerships, a listening circle, paid supervision as well as my ongoing CPD which you can read about here. I also regard my personal therapy, yoga and mindfulness practice as professional self-care. If you choose to join the professional mentoring group you will be held by many arms!
After more than thirty years in complementary therapy, I have also had many difficult experiences of supervision and professional support over the years, and have learned a great deal from not being met. As a result I create confidential, ‘safe-enough’, responsive spaces where through compassionately embracing the messiness of our seasons and phases as we grow, we can use our skills and gifts to best serve our communities in a sustainable way.
I am a mentor, author, speaker, facilitator, artist and podcaster. My first book Second Spring: the self-care guide to menopause, is part of the ‘menopause cannon’ according to the New York Times. I mentor people in perimenopause and beyond, and professionals 1-2-1 and in groups, I’m a nature-based Yoga Nidra meditation guide, host Life – An Inside Job podcast, have been a therapist for more than 30 years and create multi-level art textile projects. When I’m not doing these things you’ll find me playing in my compost heaps. My second book, The Perimenopause Journal, was published September 2024.
