The Her-story of Menstrual Medicine Circles

Though they’ve been used in workshops for a few years, 1-2-1 Menstrual Medicine Circles are still a relatively new process. I was curious about how something so powerful had been developed and birthed so I asked Alexandra Pope, co-founder of Red School and the UK’s most longstanding activist for period power, how it all came about.

Alexandra shares the approaches she’s called on to support the circles, how they developed from group process to be a powerful agent for women’s empowerment and her vision for the future.

The role of the Red School mentors has been underplayed in the development of the Medicine Circle process, sadly there wasn’t enough time to include this part of the story in the video. It has been down to their practice with the circles that it has developed into what it is today.

There’s a list of Medicine Circle facilitators here and if you’d like to chat to me about Medicine Circles for no charge, just grab a slot.
