About Kate

I am a menstrual and menopause mentor and workshop facilitator and have been a therapist for more than a quarter of a century. I’ve featured in Time Out, The Evening Standard, the London Metro and written for well-known well-being publications and blogs, like Well Doing, Juno magazine, Counsellors Cafe, Mind Body Green and Massage Magazine you can click through to find more articles here.

I’m in second spring, which means post-menopause, and have deep gratitude for the education that the menopause process has gifted me.

My mission is to change the way we regard menopause and show women how to relax into their own, inner authority through their cyclical nature and menopause process.

I refuse to take myself too seriously and try to never take anything on that is not pleasurable and delicious.

Preparing for Menopause

The Power of the Menstrual Cycle

Menopause as Spiritual Therapy

There was a great sense of excitement for me around knowing there is somewhere safe to go when I wanted to learn more, have time for myself to grow and just “Be” and like I said before, to feel part of a bigger power of women. Don’t let it end!

Preparing for menopause

Menopause is a transformational process that delivers us, re-born into a new more authentic, focussed way of being. Unfortunately, it suffers from the combined force of sexism and ageism and is often regarded with fear, this negativity makes many lives much more stressful than necessary. Many arrive at perimenopause unprepared and facing burnout already and suffer unnecessarily with challenging manifestations.  Understanding the phases of menopause will be helpful if you want to:

  • Prepare for perimenopause
  • Put services in place to support staff
  • Reduce workplace stress and stress-related illness
  • Experience the Second Spring of post-menopause
  • Learn an embodied mindfulness practice
  • Understand from the inside, what it feels like to be in menopause, whatever your age

This 4-hour workshop will give you the information and tools you need to understand how to prepare for menopause, relate to menopausal women  and put in place policies and practices to sustain and nourish your staff.

“I started the day a little hesitant and wary about what would happen. This has been part of my experience of being in the midst of perimenopause for the last 2 years. Things I used to relish, have filled me with vulnerability and unease. I have withdrawn from group engagements because of this. Leora and Kate’s tender approach to the day helped me settle in, in my own way, on my own terms. By the end of the workshop I felt more accepting and less resistant about things, which felt huge. It’s been over a week since I attended and I feel as though the vulnerability I was carrying has been replaced by understanding. This has made way for more ease and confidence than I’ve felt in a while. I am still honouring my need to go within, and I am also following my nose with an emerging idea that has been there for a while but which I have not had the wherewithal to do follow up. This will make a significant difference to my business, and I’ve just heard back from a contact that they wish to engage my idea. This feels exciting but not overwhelming which is just perfect for this new phase I feel I am entering. I needed and I highly recommend this workshop to any woman who wishes to prepare herself for menopause, or who is
already experiencing the emotional turbulence that can go with it.”
